Shipping policy

General Shipping Info

We ship Domestically and Worldwide (excluding Europe) with Royal Mail and Parcelforce. Our shipping rates are based on the weight & size of your order.

Packages are sent out Wednesday - Saturday (except Bank Holidays).

We do our very best to post your items as soon as possible - usually the next working day.

Please note that A Fyne Yarn is located in rural Scotland (classified by Royal Mail as the Highlands & Islands). Although postal delays are rare they can occur.

You will receive an automated shipping confirmation e-mail as soon as your order leaves us. 

UK Customers

All orders (see Royal mail site for details) are sent using either Royal Mail's Tracked 24 or 48 service.

Choose Click & Collect at check out to collect your order from Tarbert (PA29). I don't have a brick and mortar shop but am happy to deliver locally. 

Packages do not require a signature on delivery, and you will be emailed the tracking number if you provide your email address. You are able to allocate a safe place to leave your parcel if you aren't around to accept delivery (e.g. with a neighbour or in secure place on your property).

International Customers

All international orders are sent via Royal Mail Airmail and charges are based on the weight & size of your order.

Europe: we're currently navigating GSPR & IOSS regulations and not shipping to Europe at the moment. Watch this space...

Rest of the World: orders usually arrive within 5 - 7 working days

For deliveries in rural areas, please allow extra time.

Orders shipped outside the United Kingdom may be liable to taxes, duties, custom charges and extra fees charged by the courier company at destination. Payment will need to be made by the recipient and we cannot be held responsible for any charge once the package has been shipped from our location. Please note the custom process might incur additional delays.

Free Shipping

We don't hide shipping costs in the costs of our products and as much as we'd like to offer free shipping we want to be transparent in our business practices.

Our shipping prices are based on the actual cost of shipping to you. We therefore do not make any profit from our shipping and packaging.
