Refund policy

Thank you for shopping with A Fyne Yarn. We hope you are satisfied with your purchase. However, if are are not, we have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

(Royal mail is the best option for return.)

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. 

Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us at afyneyarn@gmail.com immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Cancellations

Please note that we are charged non-refundable transaction fees by card processors including Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Paypal (the most expensive) on every order. These fees are not returned when orders are cancelled or returned. Therefore, we reserve the right to charge Cancellation Fees equivalent to the transaction fee incurred on all cancelled orders requiring refunds (as opposed to credit notes). Payments made with Super do not incur any fees.

Pre-Ordered item cancellations will be subject to a cancellation fee of 10% of the value of the order.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, these include: 

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable items
  • Perishables such as books and magazines
  • Discontinued items or items bought on Sale (i.e. discounted or using a discount coupon)
  • Tools / Notions may be returned for credit at our discretion - please check with us first
  • Special Orders, unless the items are faulty

 

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. You can also request a credit note.

 

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

 

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days minus the card issuers transaction fee. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
